I've had the pictures of this design for a while now and just haven't got round to posting about it, so I haven't got an awful lot to say about it as I can't really remember doing it. I realise I've been a bit slack on the nail art front recently and haven't posted any for a while (apart from the one that went up a week ago that was supposed to go up after this one), must do better!
Apologies that the light was pretty bad when I took the photos of my nails but improved when I took the last photo, so they look different. I normally don't have very long before my nails start chipping or don't look good enough for photos, so if the light is bad for a few days I might not get any pictures at all and have to recreate the design again in the future.
This is kind of a different take on white tips, making them into almost triangles rather than just a strip over the white part of the nail. To do it I just painted the base colour and once this was completely dry used masking tape to make the triangle shape. I then painted on the white and removed the masking tape before this started to dry and then once dry I applied a top coat. The white wasn't quite enough to fully cover the red but I quite like the effect it gave with the red slightly showing through.
What do you think of triangle tips?

They look so simple yet pretty. Might have to give this a go!

It is very simple to do, you just need to make sure that your base colour is dry before you start using masking tape on it x
DeleteThese are so pretty :) I need to experiment more with my nails but after a day at work they always end up chipped! haha

Thank you. It's really annoying when I spend quite a while on a design and then it chips within something like 24 hours! x
DeleteI like this with the red showing through! Excited to try some nail art again soon - I bought some scotch tape at the weekend :-) xx
