The Body Shop Limited edition Mothers day Vitamin E products

As you're probably aware I'm a big fan of The Body Shop's products and in particular the Vitamin E range. Back in January I did a post on the range covering the six products that I have in my skincare stash (post here). Recently The Body Shop contacted me to let me know that some of the Vitamin E products have had a little make-over for Mothers day and they've kindly sent me some of the products to show you.

The existing products appearing in the Mothers day range include the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet*, Vitamin E Moisture cream* and Vitamin E Serum-in-oil and they've also added a new product which is the Vitamin E Eyes cube*.

For Mothers day the standard reasonably plain packaging of these products has been updated with a limited edition slightly abstract Union Jack design in pink and blue. The design might not immediately say Mothers day but the idea is you're giving skin the royal treatment and treating your mum like a queen for Mothers day. I have to say I love the updated design and wouldn't mind if it stuck around.

Although I have recently changed products to test out some new ones I've been using both the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet and Moisture cream through the winter. As I've mentioned before my skin is dry but it does struggle to absorb rich or heavy products, it much prefers lighter products like the Aqua Boost Sorbet. This can have a slightly strange texture, it sometimes feel a little 'bitty', but this is just the little aqua spheres that hold many times their weight in water. If you like cooling, refreshing, light but moisture packed creams then this is probably for you.

There's not a lot to say about the Vitamin E Moisture cream apart from that it's great! It absorbs well leaving my skin soft, moisturised and flake free when my skin is being stripped by the cold weather and central heating. This normally comes in a 50ml pot but the Mothers Day edition comes in a limited edition 100ml size.

The new product in the Mothers day line is called the Eyes cube, although I'm a little confused why it's called a cube when it's round! This is an anti-fatigue stick designed to revive and refresh the appearance of the eye area, diminishing dark circles and helping depuff the appearance of under eye bags. As I've just got my hands on this I haven't tried it out yet but I'm assuming this product will be sticking around once the packaging reverts back to normal, so I will post a review of this in the future.

I'm not sure if there's enough time left to order these online and receive them before Mothers day but you can find them in store.

What do you think of the limited edition packaging?

  1. I love the body shop vitamin e range & use the toner, lip balm & serum in oil every day! Love this packaging too & you're right about the eye 'cube'... it's not a cube!! Want to try it though!

    1. I tried it last night but to be honest I'm not quite sure how to use it as it's a bit bulky for around the eye! x

  2. This sounds like a lovely set and a perfect mothers day gift! I love the body shop. By the way, your blog design is so pretty!
