Natural Collection are a brand that have been around for many years, over 25 to be exact. I think they may well have been one of the first brands I looked to when I first started wearing make-up for my dancing shows. There were certain products we needed to have for our show make-up, including blue eye shadow, black eye liner and red lipstick, and my 'show lipstick' for many years was from Natural Collection.
I have to admit that I probably haven't considered Natural Collection products for a good few years now as my make-up tastes have changed and evolved. I was recently contacted by Boots to see if I'd like to try out a Natural Collection beauty box* containing a few of their products. Remembering that red lipstick I agreed.
The first box I received contained some of their base products; including the Tinted moisturiser in natural, Pressed powder in warm, SunTint Bronzing powder in Golden Glow and Blushed Cheeks in Pink cloud. Due to these arriving not long before I moved there was quite a delay in me being able to try any of these products. Before I'd been able to give them a try mum let me know that a box of 'natural products' had arrived and she forwarded on to me a second box. This one contained the WaterGuard mascara, Tinted lip balm in Carribean Crush, Nail color in Hibiscus and also a concealer, but unfortunately this didn't make it to me in one piece.
As I had all of these new products together I decided to try out a Natural Collection 'full face', not including the nail varnish in the face part of course (not a good look!).
Starting with the product you would naturally start with the tinted moisturiser is probably one that's best to apply with your fingers, just like a standard moisturiser. This does provide a little coverage to even things out slightly, but it's very sheer, so if you have anything you actually want to cover you'll need to follow up with a concealer. As I mentioned the Natural Collection concealer unfortunately didn't make it to me in one piece (the bullet fell out and got squished) so I couldn't give this a try.
The blusher provides a pretty flush of colour and is easy to apply and blend and there's not a lot to say about the powder really, it does the job. I'm not really a bronzer person because I am pretty pale and my application skills aren't amazing, so I'm always worried I'll end up looking silly with a streaky brown face. I did give the bronzer a try though and was quite pleased with the result. It doesn't appear orange or too dark (although it does look quite dark in the pan) and gave me a subtle bronzed look.
The mascara comes with a natural bristle brush and provides some length and a little volume. There's no dramatic, approaching false lashes look but it's a nice natural looking mascara for enhancing what you have. The lip balm I would actually call more of a gloss, but there's no stickiness to it. The colour looks pretty in the tube but is a bit irrelevant as it doesn't really transfer to the lips at all.
Finally the nail varnish is a very pretty shade that I've popped on my toes as I can't currently paint my nails due to filming commitment. It comes with a pretty standard brush, not too thin or thick, applies well and dries reasonably quickly.
In general Natural Collection is a very good budget brand. This is the sort of brand you might want to turn to if you're just starting out with make-up or if you're on a tight budget and want products that perform well for just £1.99 each.
Do you use any Natural Collection products?

Natural Collection have some really pretty things but I always skip them when I'm in Boots. I'm going to have a good look at some of their products next time I'm in! x

I tend to too. I think I always overlook the really budget brands but it's worth taking a look occasionally and trying something out as you might be wowed by it x
